HOMESTRETCH
A full length documentary film exploring the underbelly of American horse
racing, specifically the slaughtering of once proud thoroughbred race horses
that no longer win on the track. Explored are the different levels of horse
racing cultures throughout America, the horse slaughter auctions, and the newly
founded prison behavioral
modification systems which have saved hundreds of beautiful horses from a
premature death, and helped thousands of prisoners throughout the US learn how
to train and care for these horses.
